Chairman & Chief Executive - Dato' Sri Andrew Tai Yeow Kam JP

Andrew is a Malaysian citizen, educated in England and has a law degree from a British university.  He was called to the Malaysian bar in 1988.

Over the years he has gained extensive experience in developing major projects successfully and has considerable experience in the gold mining sector.

He is a keen sportsman and also involved in supporting various charitable causes.

As the Chief Executive and Chairman with a controlling interest in he is committed to making Peninsular Gold a highly successful company.

Finance Director - Patrick Watson

 

Patrick started his career with Anglo American in South Africa before attending the Royal School of Mines with a scholarship to read mining engineering. In 1985 he returned to Anglo in South Africa to work in deep level gold mining operations.

He later changed career to become a chartered accountant in the UK, and has over sixteen years of experience in senior roles with Nationwide Building Society, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and LogicaCMG. Patrick has a good understanding of Malaysia and South East Asia having previously lived in the region.

Non-Executive Director - Dato' Mohamed Moiz bin JM Ali Moiz

 

Dato' Moiz holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and International Finance. From 1985 to 1986 he worked as a project manager within Timbco Sdn Bhd, a Company involved in timber trading, processing and forestry management. In 1987 he was appointed CEO of the Tradium Group, which has interests in property development, fashion retailing, manufacturing and equity investments. In 1999, he was appointed CEO of Effective Capital Sdn Bhd.

Currently, Dato' Moiz  serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Bandar Raya Developments Berhad, a listed Company on the Bursa Malaysia, the Malaysian stock exchange. He also sits on the boards of Mieco Chipboard and several other private companies.

Non-Executive Director - Dr. Yves Cheze

 

Yves has almost 30 years experience in mineral exploration and mining in West and East Africa; South East Asia, including spells in Malaysia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea; and in North and South America.

He was responsible on behalf of BRGM of France for a number of international exploration projects, including one that led to the discovery of the Arian gold belt in Sudan. Yves also managed a 50m euro programme in Papua New Guinea on behalf of European Commission. Since 2001, Yves has run his own geological consulting Company in Malaysia.
